Meet Our Staff
Hi! My name is Dessiah Daniel, I am a recreational and All-Star cheerleading coach with Woodland Elite Houston. I have more than 10 years of cheer experience and 9 years of cheer and gymnastics coaching experience. I have coached recreational cheer, gymnastics, and T&T. I have also coached Women’s Team Gymnastics levels 3-5 and assisted with the All-Star cheer team. I absolutely love coaching and the challenges it presents, but also the great reward of being able to teach others the sport I love and give them the same lessons, values, and passion that my coaches gave me. I believe that everyone possesses the ability to do anything they set their minds to, as long as they are willing to put in the work and time to achieve their goals. I believe as a coach we have the ability to be more than just a coach to our athletes, we are role models, mentors, and often people these young athletes look up to. My goal is to leave a lasting, positive impact upon every athlete I meet, as so many of my coaches did for me. When I am not coaching or in the gym, I enjoy going to dance classes, any outdoor activity, bowling, eating pizza, spending time with my friends and family, and working on growing my business.
Hi, my name is Kelsey Marksberry, I am a recreational and All-Star cheerleading coach with Woodland Elite Houston. I’m a dedicated and enthusiastic cheerleading coach with over 10 years of experience in sideline, recreational, and all-star cheerleading. Former captain and UCA all American cheerleader. Sideline cheerleader for 7 years; Coached for 6 years in the areas of gymnastics, cheer tumbling, and all-star teams. I love cheerleading and coaching is a way to stay connected to my passion. I like the competitive aspect of cheer, love to win and help others win but it’s also important to me to teach my kids that winning is not everything. Being better than your last performance and small victories is also a win. I like to work with kids and help them grow to their full potential. It’s personally rewarding seeing people succeed and achieve their goals. I am constantly learning either through education or through every student that comes my way. When I am not coaching or in the gym, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, traveling, taking dance classes, going to the racetrack and doing anything adventurous.
